01 Can you really see the Duoyishu sunrise without leaving the property?
Yes — the hotel has its own observation platform connected to the paid Duoyishu viewpoint, so you walk out rather than drive in the dark and queue for a position. That is the single reason to choose it: the Duoyishu sunrise is the image most people come to Yuanyang for, and it happens well before the scenic-area gates would otherwise be convenient.
02 When should I come?
Roughly November to April, when the terraces are flooded and hold the reflection — that is when the sunrise is worth the early alarm. Cloud is common and never guaranteed to clear; we build in more than one dawn where the itinerary allows. May onward is green, quieter and much less photographed.
