Qianqiu Snow

A hand-picked boutique retreat

The hotel’s philosophy revolves around "Letting the Body Rest where the Soul Resides." While the exterior honors the rugged "Black Tibetan House" (Hei Zang Fang) aesthetic using local natural stone, the interior is a high-tech haven. Every room is equipped with diffuse oxygen systems and specialized high-pressure oxygen cabins to ensure that the majesty of the sacred peaks of Yading is enjoyed in absolute comfort.

Highlights

  • Yading Village Location an elevated sanctuary at 3,900m in the heart of Yading Village, bridging Kham Tibetan heritage with modern wabi-sabi minimalism.
  • Chenrezig Peak Views direct sightlines to the sacred snow peak through floor-to-ceiling windows in every room.
  • Architectural Heritage by Sanxingdui Designers The building’s design flows with the mountain’s ridge, utilizing traditional Kham stone-stacking techniques paired with sleek, modernist interiors.
  • Medical-Grade Altitude Comfort Suites feature professional oxygen supply systems, underfloor heating, and high-pressure oxygen chambers to mitigate altitude sickness effortlessly.
  • Sacred Peak Panoramic Views Strategically positioned so that guests can witness the legendary "Golden Sun on the Snow Mountain" (Rizhao Jinshan) directly from their private balconies.

Common questions

Staying at Qianqiu Snow

01 Why does Qianqiu Snow have oxygen systems in every room?

The lodge sits at high altitude in the Daocheng Yading region where AMS is a real concern for most visitors. Every room has diffused-oxygen air conditioning that raises the effective oxygen level while you sleep, plus the hotel has private high-pressure oxygen cabins for guests with acute symptoms. It's the most medically-equipped high-altitude lodge in the region and the right choice if you're altitude-sensitive.

02 When is the best time to stay at Qianqiu Snow?

Mid-September to late October for the autumn larch season and clearest sacred-peak views — the iconic window for Daocheng Yading. Late April to early June for rhododendrons. Winter is dramatic but many access roads close after heavy snow. The in-park hotels (like Bore Yading) can be preferable in peak autumn for trail access; Qianqiu works well as a quieter alternative just outside the park.

03 How do I combine Qianqiu Snow with the rest of West Sichuan?

Standard pairing is 2 nights Qianqiu in the Daocheng area, after 2 nights of stepped acclimatisation in Kangding and along the G318. For a longer trip, add the Genie South drive on the way in (or out) for a 10-day West Sichuan loop. Our West Sichuan tour covers the full route at altitude-safe pace.
